Why do we bother with forums anyway? Why not Facebook, or just the website?

The forum is a place where interested people can share information about WA native plants and gardens, about UWC projects, and about anything else they can think of in line with our vision, mission and principles.

We are using this type of forum as ‘best fit’ for our needs; we want our information, questions and answers, personal experience and expert opinion, to be a searchable resource for the community.

For fans of Facebook, while Facebook is great for finding friends and reaching lots of people instantly with pictures videos, its not suited for building a searchable store of ‘how to’ information.

As with our wikipedia, it is great for making public some information, but forums are more effective ways to ask questions and get answers from people.
