Periodically there is an invitation to get together in different people’s
gardens. We share a cuppa and a nibble together and talk specifically about
that garden’s journey as part of a Garden Transition Project with WA
Native Gardens. This is a structured conversation that usually includes
    topics like:
    * what the person’s vision for their garden was/ is
    * what’s worked, what hasn’t in the garden – what their learning has
    been
    * where they still need support/ future plans
    * Q&A with our resident experts Sue & Hazel Dempster.

We then, weather permitting, walk around the garden where further
information is shared and questions answered. This includes a planting
demonstration of the correct way to plant WA natives (which is different
to what many expect!). We then, as a community, plant some plants in their
    garden.

The cost is $10 per head, the host provides the (simple) morning/
afternoon tea and not only gets the benefit of expert WA native plant
wisdom but, on top of that, receives a free WA native plant per participant
who attends the Gathering. (These plants are from a curated selection
that is suitable for their garden and are planted in their garden during the
    course of the Gathering.)

The benefit for participants is that it provides an extremely cost-effective
way of learning more about WA natives whilst connecting more with a likeminded
    community of people.

We’d love you to join us! Please note that bookings are available to Custodians first. Any remaining spaces are opened more broadly two days before the Gathering. [If you are not a Custodian but would like to join our community you are welcome, you can download the information & registration form here, just complete & email it back to us at community@wanativegardens.com.au.]
